Kings Camps is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Swim Teacher/Lifeguard. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop children's water confidence and ensure a safe aquatic environment.
In this role, you will be working with groups of mixed ability children, supervising them during swimming sessions, overseeing safe use of equipment, and recording any incidents. Child safety is our top priority, so you must always prioritize their welfare.
The ideal candidate will have 12 months of experience as a swim teacher and hold either an SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification. You should also possess a current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC). Additionally, you will need at least 6 months of experience working with children aged 5-17.
We offer excellent training, including online and on-site training covering customer care, child protection, child supervision, child welfare, health and safety, sports coaching techniques, and creative session development. Our team provides a strong support network, and we promote from within.
This is a part-time temporary contract position, typically running sessions between 9:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Session times and pool availability may vary. You can expect to earn around £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Safer recruitment practices are central to our work, and all staff and volunteers must share our commitment to safeguarding.
