Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective strategies to de-escalate challenging situations and create a calm and safe environment for children.
  • Develop strong, trustworthy bonds with students to help them feel secure and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create individualized support plans for each child.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, adjusting strategies as necessary to support their growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with children who have experienced trauma, preferably in an educational or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour management techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support and guide children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field.
