Job Description

Corus Consultancy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Project Support Specialist to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Project Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support to vulnerable adults with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Hold a caseload of key clients and conduct regular key working sessions to develop agreed support plans that are outcome-focused, SMART, and demonstrate progress.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Produce comprehensive and high-quality risk assessment and risk management plans on an ongoing basis.
  • Recovery Promotion: Promote activities that support recovery, including social activities, exercise, healthy eating, and participation in mutual aid groups.
  • Housing Support: Support clients to identify housing options and tackle obstacles preventing them from moving on to settled accommodation.
  • Group Work: Take part in running activities or small groups in response to identified client needs or as part of a project-wide programme of group work.
  • Employment Support: Support clients ready to move into work, education, or training by assisting them to access suitable courses or placements.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience of working with vulnerable adults with complex support needs, including substance use, offending, mental ill health, complex housing issues, and/or other support needs.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of supporting clients into supported accommodation, the private rented sector, or other move-on options.
  • Legislation: Demonstrable understanding of Housing and other related legislation.
  • Networking: Experience of effectively working with partner agencies and developing contacts and networks across a wide range of local services.
  • Skills: A level of numeracy, literacy, and comprehension to input data and the ability to use common computer packages and databases.
