Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our team as a Baywide Referral Coordinator/ Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administration and coordination to support the efficient and effective service delivery of Community Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in the Paignton and Brixham area.

The role will involve providing a single point of contact for professionals in Health and Social Care and the public, responding to referrals and inquiries, and gathering information to assess risks and needs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a waiting list, allocating cases, and completing reviews and records.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide administrative support to the Community Therapy teams, including responding to referrals and inquiries, and gathering information to assess risks and needs.
  • Maintain a waiting list and allocate cases as required, depending on urgency and triaged by a lead.
  • Complete reviews and complete appropriate records, action outcomes.
  • Provide comprehensive administration for the service, the team, and the therapy leads.

About Us

The Paignton and Brixham community therapy teams sit within the Baywide Community Services, covering the whole of Torbay, with a base at Kings Ash House, Paignton. The teams have a wealth of specialist experience and excellent communication skills, and are motivated and passionate about providing a proactive service, being flexible and creative in meeting the needs of the community who require therapy support and input.

We strongly believe in a 'What matters to me' approach and are patient-centred. We have a high profile and are well-respected with our MDT colleagues. We value new ideas that would enhance our OT and Trust service.

Requirements

  • Good standard of education, to GCSE level (or equivalent).
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of filing and data recording - manual and electronic.
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience of working within a customer-facing environment.
  • Understanding of confidentiality.
  • Understanding of GDPR.

Desirable

  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent level experience.
  • Experience working with those who require support within the community.
  • Experience of working in a health or social care setting.
