About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to continuous professional development.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team, ensuring the provision of safe, effective, and efficient care to children and their families. They will also act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide clinical leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • To act as a role model and expert clinical practitioner, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.
  • To assist in the safe, effective, and efficient management of the department, within allocated resources.
  • To promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
  • To undertake delegated responsibility for the department in the absence of the Ward Manager.
