Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team in Bridgend or Neath Port Talbot. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment, goal-directed intervention, and rehabilitation to patients in the community.

Main Duties
  • Manage a defined caseload within the specialist area, using evidence-based and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the outcomes of intervention.
  • Organize caseload efficiently and effectively, prioritizing clinical needs and utilizing time effectively.
  • Ensure clinical records are maintained to agreed standards and report accurately to others.
  • Work in partnership with clients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to identify relevant goals.
  • Provide leadership and supervision for junior staff, as delegated by supervisor/Team Leader.
  • Regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.
  • Participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in the Band 6 Development Programme and other developmental activities.

  • Essential:
    • Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent OT qualification)
    • Professional Registration with HCPC
  • Desirable:
    • Accredited fieldwork supervisor for the education of OT students
