Job Title: Data Centre Technician

Technical Global Solutions is seeking a skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team. As a Data Centre Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of network cabling, ensuring smooth operations within our data centres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and troubleshoot fibre and copper cabling.
  • Use network troubleshooting tools such as VFLs, OTDRs, and power meters.
  • Patch and dress cables in server racks, with training provided where necessary.
  • Decommission IT equipment, including networks, servers, and storage devices.
  • Follow all health, safety, and security procedures.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with internal teams regarding project progress and any issues.
  • Complete daily checklists and reports on tasks performed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience installing structured cabling (fibre and copper).
  • Knowledge of network technologies such as routers, switches, and cabling infrastructure.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic experience using hand and power tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Email).
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • English language proficiency at B1 level or above; additional European language skills are beneficial.
