Job Description

Alpha Scaffold Design LTD. is seeking a skilled Scaffold Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scaffolding solutions for various projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site visits and surveys to identify client needs;
  • Utilize AutoCAD for scaffold design implementation;
  • Generate supporting calculations and conduct structural analysis;
  • Engage with clients through face-to-face interactions and written/phone communication;
Qualifications
  • HNC in Engineering and practical Scaffold Design experience;
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;

Special consideration will be given to those with practical experience in scaffold installation.

Mandatory Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for creating high-quality scaffold design drawings;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with expertise in spreadsheet production and formulae for supporting calculations;
  • Experience with structural analysis software in accordance with industry standards;
  • In-depth knowledge of TG20:21 and BS 5975 along with other UK scaffolding standards;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with a collaborative, friendly, and 'can do' attitude.
Bonus Skills
  • Proximity to London: The candidate should be based in proximity to London to facilitate occasional attendance at site meetings in and around the London area;
  • Form-work Design Experience: Experience in Form-work design, particularly with systems such as Gass, Titan, Rmd, or similar;
  • Ground work (foundation) design experience: scaffold mat design or similar.
