Clinical Negligence Solicitor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our team at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment. As a key member of our Clinical Negligence department, you will work alongside a Senior Associate to undertake a broad mix of high-quality clinical negligence work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of clinical negligence files, under supervision, dealing effectively with cases and transactions.
  • Manage time recording, WIP monitoring, and billing consistently, meeting targets and objectives set.
  • Deal directly with clients to take instructions and ensure full understanding in order to deliver on client expectations.
  • Research and draft articles and assist with the production of marketing materials.
  • Begin to develop a network of clients, contacts, and potential referrers and attend networking events.
  • Encourage juniors/trainees, provide feedback to assist their learning, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate.
  • Understand, learn, and apply all business processes applicable to own work, learning new processes as required.
  • Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably, and in accordance with the firm's quality and risk management procedures.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Highly experienced within claimant Clinical Negligence law.
  • Ability to manage own files with minimal supervision.
  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service.
  • Organised and able to effectively prioritise.
  • Self-sufficient.
  • Experience of using a case management system, preferably Proclaim.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and Equality Standards.
