Senior Energy and Sustainability Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Energy and Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our advisory services team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering expert advice on Net Zero, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and sustainability in the real estate, retail, and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver advisory studies on decarbonisation, Net Zero, energy efficiency, and low-carbon technologies for clients in the real estate, retail, and healthcare sectors.
  • Provide technical decarbonisation advice and recommendations to clients, including scenarios and pathways for achieving Net Zero.
  • Manage advisory projects and clients, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Produce sustainability, energy, and decarbonisation strategies for individual assets or portfolios, aligned with client objectives and industry standards.
  • Work autonomously to develop tailored project approaches and respond to client tenders.
  • Conduct energy efficiency and Net Zero site audits of complex commercial, retail, healthcare, or industrial facilities.
  • Write technical and strategic reports for clients, in various formats, from short presentations to long reports.
  • Contribute to the team's delivery of wider energy efficiency, Net Zero, sustainability, and ESG projects.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing projects, people, and clients, with a track record of delivering technical and advisory work in the built environment decarbonisation space.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in building services, HVAC, renewables, and low-carbon technologies.
  • Understanding of UK/EU decarbonisation policies, trends, and key decarbonisation technologies.
  • Chartered engineer or chartered energy manager status is preferred, through membership of the Energy Institute, CIBSE, IET, IEMA, or other similar professional bodies.
