Connecting with Pupils and Young People

As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping pupils and young people with autism and complex needs achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to create a nurturing environment that fosters learning and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher and other staff to implement the individualised curriculum for pupils and young people with autism and complex needs.
  • Use your expertise and skills to develop and deliver learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of the pupils and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to identify and address the needs of pupils and young people.

Requirements

  • No prior experience is necessary as full training and development will be provided.
  • You will be adaptable and able to work in a variety of settings, including classrooms and outdoor environments.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
