We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a special school in Martock. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who have a variety of SEND needs, including Autism.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students during lessons and in their interactions with peers. You will use Autism Teaching Techniques such as "Now and Next" to help students access the curriculum and tailor lesson activities to their level of ability.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and has a strong commitment to supporting students with SEND. If you have experience working with individuals with SEN/Autism/Complex Needs/SEMH, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting students 1:1 in class
  • Helping students access the curriculum and tailor lesson activities to their level of ability
  • Building strong relationships with students and teaching staff to ensure students are achieving their potential
  • Providing support to students when they are struggling and helping them to calm down and remain focused

The pay rate for this role is £12.81 per hour, with a potential to earn more based on level of experience. We offer a range of benefits, including free DBS checks, free training, and a recommending a friend bonus scheme.
