Care Home Manager - Ashburton House Care Home

Ashburton House is a leading provider of high-quality care services, dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents and maintaining the highest standards of care.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Home Manager to lead our dedicated team and ensure the delivery of exceptional care services to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the care sector, and a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for elderly individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Inspire and motivate a team of care professionals to provide person-centered care.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
  • Oversee and coordinate resident care plans, ensuring they are tailored to individual needs and preferences using our electronic care management systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care services, making continuous improvements to enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Implement and maintain robust health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
  • Ensure the care home operates in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies, participating in inspections and audits to maintain high standards of care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, local authorities, and community organisations to enhance the overall care and support network.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or similar leadership role.
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification preferable.
  • In-depth knowledge of care home regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Commitment to promoting a person-centered approach to care.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Previous Experience using PCS (Person Centred Software) preferable.
