Expert Anaesthetist

Job Summary:

Mercos Medical Staffing Limited is seeking an accomplished Consultant Anaesthetist to join a dynamic and skilled General Anaesthetic team in the Midlands.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

• 
  
• Deliver exceptional anaesthetic services across a wide range of clinical areas, including obstetrics, bariatrics, and colorectal surgery.
  
• Collaborate closely with the General Anaesthetic team to provide anaesthetic services to multiple specialties, ensuring seamless patient care.
  
• Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement projects, enhancing patient outcomes and care standards.
  
• Develop special interests in areas such as obstetric anaesthesia, bariatrics, pre-assessment, or education, staying at the forefront of anaesthetic expertise.
  
• Support and mentor junior doctors, playing a vital role in teaching and training initiatives within the department.
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• 
  
• Mandatory qualifications include a basic medical degree, full MRCP or equivalent, FRCA or equivalent qualification, and full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice.
  
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK is also required.
  

Clinical Effectiveness and Experience:

• 
  
• Must have extensive experience in all aspects of anaesthesia, including Higher Specialist Training.
  
• Demonstrated experience in conducting clinical audits or quality improvement projects is highly desirable.
  
• Strong decision-making abilities, based on evidence and clinical audit findings, are essential.
  
• Able to handle complaints and respond promptly to clinical issues, upholding the highest standards of patient care.
