A primary school in London is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to provide PPA cover in their Autism unit.

This part-time role, covering Wednesdays and Thursdays, is ideal for teachers seeking a flexible work-life balance while contributing to the development of children with Autism.

You'll be teaching a class of 8-10 primary-aged students, supported by a team of 3-4 Learning Support Assistants, ensuring each child receives the tailored support they need.

The school is Ofsted rated 'Good' and located near excellent public transport links, with just a short walk from the nearest station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and adapted lessons to students with Autism during PPA cover.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic and social development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of students in the Autism unit.
  • Previous experience teaching children with Autism in a school setting is essential.
  • A proactive, patient teaching style, with a solid understanding of SEN and Autism education.
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to process one through Reeson Education.
