Mechanical Contracts Manager Job Overview

The Mechanical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing a mechanical department dealing with small projects, as well as ongoing servicing and reactive works throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Preparing cost pricing and estimates for new mechanical/HVAC works/reactive works
  2. Carrying out amendments or variations to existing projects/contracts
  3. Reviewing technical drawings and specifications for take offs to create a materials list
  4. Ensuring SLA's are met, as well as maintaining regular contact with customers to keep them updated
  5. Ensuring health and safety requirements are met, across the department
  6. Managing labour, both direct and sub-contractors
  7. Working from the office, with site visits when required
Requirements:
  1. Technical background within the HVAC industry, ideally heating or plumbing
  2. Experience in a similar role
  3. Based within commutable distance to the office
  4. Previous design experience advantageous
  5. HNC in building services desirable
  6. SMSTS desirable
Remuneration:
  1. Basic salary £50,000 to £55,000, depending on experience
  2. Company car or car allowance
  3. 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  4. Company phone and laptop
  5. Working hours - 7:30am - 5pm
