About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lecturer in Criminology and Education to join our team at Queen's University Belfast.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students across the criminology undergraduate pathways, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our criminology research and teaching excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students across the criminology undergraduate pathways
  • Contribute to the development of criminology research and teaching excellence
  • Disseminate research through publishing and presenting at criminology conferences
  • Lecturing and tutoring at University level in a relevant social science discipline
  • Administrative experience in a relevant social science discipline
Requirements
  • Primary or higher degree in a relevant social science subject
  • PhD or equivalent awarded or due for completion within one year of taking up post
  • Evidence of an ability to disseminate research through publishing and/or presenting at criminology conferences
  • Experience of lecturing and tutoring at University level or equivalent in a relevant social science discipline
  • Evidence of appropriate administrative experience
