Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Swansea

Job Type: Permanent

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the running of our operations by resolving breakdowns and delivering maintenance. The successful candidate will also be required to drive improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all maintenance across the factory.
  • Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring rapid response and minimised plant equipment and machinery breakdown time.
  • Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company's Hygiene Code of Practice.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met, and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
  • Repair plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently either alone and/or as part of a team.
  • Carry out PPM onsite whilst ensuring proactive approach to planned maintenance and high PPM output.
  • Manage Engineering time effectively and ensure low Engineering down-time.
Requirements
  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject.
  • Possess 17th or 18th Edition Certification.
  • Proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
  • Practical attitude.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
