Job Title: Teaching Assistant for SEND Students

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a large two-form entry primary school in Redhill, Surrey. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream classes or within the dedicated special needs centre within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with the classroom teacher to provide support for primary school students
* Work with individual students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional support
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and positive behaviour
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers, and community members to create a holistic and supportive educational experience for all students

Requirements:

* Demonstrated experience working in Education or a similar setting
* Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
* Passion for education and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
* Reflective and engaging educator with the drive to make a positive difference in children's lives
* Punctual and organised
* Ability to build rapport with students and staff easily, cultivating a community with strong core values
* Experience working with or willingness to work with SEND students
