Regulatory Compliance Officer

Yorkshire Water is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance and Assurance Officer to join our Strategy & Regulation team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with regulatory reporting guidelines and maintaining a strong assurance culture within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical advice on regulatory reporting requirements and ensure that reporting requirements have clear roles and responsibilities allocated.
- Undertake regular risk reviews across business teams, ensuring risks are appropriately acted upon and assurance plans are created and agreed.
- Build and manage the Level 3 external audit and assurance programme, ensuring internal and external stakeholders adhere to agreed deadlines.
- Conduct compliance reviews and complete due diligence across the company to ensure controls continue to comply with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Manage collective administrative tasks required for Regulatory Assurance, including managing audit trails, writing letters, reviewing contracts, and documenting procedures.
- Degree, qualification, or experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, assurance, and/or risk management.
- Strong networking, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Good knowledge and use of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint and Excel.
- Experience of report and presentation writing, with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven, able to identify and source data and information to support reviews and recommendations.
