Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Production Equipment Specialist to join our team at Taiko Foods. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all production equipment and facilities.

In this role, you will develop and oversee maintenance schedules, coordinate with the maintenance team, and manage inventory of spare parts. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to identify trends in equipment performance data and recommend improvements.

Your organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with various departments will be essential in maintaining high operational standards. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Create detailed maintenance schedules and coordinate activities with production to avoid disruptions.
  • Coordinate with technicians, engineers, and other departments for efficient task execution and arrange external contractors if necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory and ensure availability of necessary parts and materials.
  • Keep up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, logs, and equipment history, and prepare performance reports with KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and promote a safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Estimated salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance operations or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
