Fleet Manager Position

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for fleet management? We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team in Surrey. In this exciting opportunity, you will play a key role in supporting our Fleet Management team and working closely with our Head of Fleet, Logistics Manager, Account Managers, Finance Team, and other operating centres throughout the UK.
Fleet Manager Job Overview:- We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 per year, reflecting the importance of this role in our organization.
- You will be responsible for all matters relating to Fleet & Driver compliance and training, as well as some elements of Health & Safety.
- Your primary goal will be to ensure that our fleet operates efficiently and safely, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Assist the National Fleet Manager with day-to-day driver management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Manage compliance via regular audits and weekly verification of driver's hours regulations, guaranteeing adherence to industry standards.
- Develop the Driving team by providing skills and training to meet operational requirements and efficiency improvements, enhancing overall performance.
- Responsible for the control of safety on the road and compliance across all sites via regular audits and weekly verification of driver's hours regulations, safeguarding our drivers and assets.
- Ensure accurate and secure filing of compliance paperwork in line with General Data Protection Regulations, upholding data protection protocols.
- Conduct Base audits on a weekly basis, at least three times per week where production levels permit, to maintain high standards.
- Train others to use the R2C system correctly, monitor its usage, and take corrective action to address any issues, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Implement accident and incident reporting policy and procedures, referring to insurers when necessary, and maintaining transparency throughout the process.
- Support and lead Pre-production Base Compliance meetings, coordinating with HOD, Account Manager teams, and ensuring accurate Monday reports.
- Candidate selection and induction processes will be overseen by you, fostering a positive experience for new employees.
- Maintain and develop relationships with third-party sub-contractors, agency staff, and clients, promoting collaborative growth and opportunities.
- Identify areas for improved efficiencies within the site, recommend, and implement changes, driving continuous improvement.
- Oversee and task the Driver Training/Assessing team to ensure timely assessments and relevant documentation recording.
- Possession of a Fleet/Transport Manager International CPC certification is essential for this position.
- A thorough understanding of Operator Licence Regulations is required.
- Experience in providing exceptional customer service is crucial in this role.
- Compliance auditing experience is highly valued.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate day, evening, and weekend shifts, with availability for out-of-hours communication as needed.
