About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Architect to join our team at The Focusrite Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing our connected products, from embedded software to mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline teams to design and develop high-quality, reliable, and scalable embedded systems.
  • Work closely with electronics engineers to ensure system design constraints are met and with software teams on systems integration.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and design documents.
  • Participate in quarterly team planning, engineering catchups, and team product demos to ensure teams are connected and up-to-date on product system design.
  • Embed yourself in teams at key points in the development cycle to help implement key architectural components.
Requirements
  • Professional background in embedded software development or embedded system architecture.
  • Experience with software platform engineering techniques and design methodologies, including hands-on development experience in C/C++.
  • Knowledge of automated testing principles, including unit testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of helping people and teams work well together.
  • Flexible and able to effectively prioritize and schedule across multiple projects.
