About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Marine Engineer to join our team at Ayesa - UK and Ireland. As a key member of our marine engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all marine designs meet the highest standards and are in accordance with set regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor processes and results to ensure compliance with relevant safety, legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and inspect marine structures, taking into account marine environmental issues and constraints.
  • Develop and implement robust, value-based, and commissionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality marine engineering projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our services.
Requirements
  • Masters in Civil Engineering or a related field, with experience in marine civil engineering.
  • Proven technical knowledge of specific subject areas pertaining to marine works and the ability to use relevant software.
  • Sound working knowledge of BS 6349, Eurocodes, and related marine guidance.
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing team progress and updates.
  • Ability to identify scope creep and gaps, and manage change-control, entering into commercial discussions with clients if required.
