About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a key role in supporting the development of our clinical staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to provide excellent care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for clinical staff, focusing on mental health care and related topics.
  • Collaborate with clinical leads to establish and maintain a developing clinical practice model, underpinned by training, supervision, and professional development.
  • Provide expert resource and support to clinical staff, team managers, pathways leads, and the wider BWC Education team.
  • Maintain a high clinical profile, working with mental health services to educate and develop knowledge and skills.
  • Establish and maintain an effective clinical educational environment that supports staff in delivering safe, high-quality, evidence-based care.

Requirements
  • NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Current or recent experience as a Band 6 or above in a mental health NHS or health and care environment.
  • Significant experience of working in an NHS or health and care provider familiar with a variety of care pathways for mental health services.
  • Experience in teaching and assessing in clinical practice via a variety of media.
