Job description:

As a Senior Civil Engineer - Maritime, you will play a vital role in every aspect of maritime engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
  • Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design within the port and maritime environment.
  • Sound knowledge in the civil and structural design of port and maritime infrastructure supporting port operations, the berthing and mooring of vessels and the transit of people and goods around the globe.
  • Working experience with current UK and European design standards including BS6349.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field (civil engineering, structural engineering, etc.).
  • Proven experience in maritime engineering, preferably with a focus on port and maritime infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
