Dynamic and Thriving Law Firm Seeks Experienced Childcare Solicitor

The Ten Percent Group is a leading law firm based in Somerset, seeking an experienced Childcare Law Solicitor to join our team. This is a permanent full-time role with the opportunity for hybrid working for the right candidate. You will be dealing with Care Proceedings and must have a solid experience of legal aid childcare law matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling your own caseload of publicly funded childcare law matters, including care proceedings
  • Providing supervision and guidance to junior members of the team
  • Conducting client meetings and regularly liaising with clients and relevant parties to keep everyone updated
  • Full case preparation
  • Advocacy in the County and Family Proceedings Court
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years relevant childcare law experience, including advocacy
  • Clean, valid practicing certificate
  • Proven expertise in dealing with care proceedings and publicly funded childcare matters
  • Solid knowledge of legal aid and SRA regulations
  • Ideal candidate will have Children's Panel Membership
  • Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to deal with vulnerable individuals
  • Demonstrable team working skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
