The Ten Percent Group is a leading law firm based in Somerset, seeking an experienced Childcare Law Solicitor to join our team. This is a permanent full-time role with the opportunity for hybrid working for the right candidate. You will be dealing with Care Proceedings and must have a solid experience of legal aid childcare law matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Handling your own caseload of publicly funded childcare law matters, including care proceedings
- Providing supervision and guidance to junior members of the team
- Conducting client meetings and regularly liaising with clients and relevant parties to keep everyone updated
- Full case preparation
- Advocacy in the County and Family Proceedings Court
- Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years relevant childcare law experience, including advocacy
- Clean, valid practicing certificate
- Proven expertise in dealing with care proceedings and publicly funded childcare matters
- Solid knowledge of legal aid and SRA regulations
- Ideal candidate will have Children's Panel Membership
- Excellent communication and client care skills, with the ability to deal with vulnerable individuals
- Demonstrable team working skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
