Job Title: Compliance and Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Seapeak. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for providing HSEQ support and guidance to our fleet and wider operations team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies to ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  3. Collaborate with operations teams to develop and implement risk management plans and procedures.
  4. Provide training and guidance to seafarers and shore-based staff on HSEQ policies and procedures.
  5. Monitor and analyze HSEQ performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Develop and implement corrective action plans to address HSEQ issues and improve overall performance.
  7. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HSEQ policies and procedures.
  8. Provide HSEQ support and guidance to seafarers and shore-based staff on a daily basis.
  9. Conduct incident investigations and develop recommendations for improvement.
  10. Develop and implement HSEQ training programs for seafarers and shore-based staff.
  11. Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Good knowledge of international maritime regulations and company policies.
  2. Experience in HSEQ management and auditing.
  3. Certificate of Competency at Class 2 Unlimited or equivalent degree in maritime as a minimum.
  4. Certificate in Marine Incident Investigation.
  5. Sea going experience as Officer on Oil tanker or Gas tanker.
