The Intensive Care and High Dependency Units at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Nurse to join their team.

The successful candidate will have recent proven experience at a similar level within ICU or relevant experience, with a strong understanding of current issues in nursing in the NHS.

The role will involve providing high-quality evidence-based care, working as part of a team, and supporting colleagues in stressful situations.

The Senior Nursing team and ICU Matron will provide an exciting, enthusiastic, and supportive learning environment, assisting the successful candidate in achieving the Steps 4 CC3N Competencies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to think logically, problem solve, and use initiative to achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care and High Dependency Units
  2. Work collaboratively with the Senior Nursing team and ICU Matron to achieve unit goals
  3. Support colleagues in stressful situations and provide emotional support to patients and relatives
  4. Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  1. NMC registered RGN/RN (Adult)
  2. Accredited Intensive Care Course
  3. ILS
  4. Epidural study day
  5. IV drugs

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Degree
  2. ALS
  3. Mentor qualification
