Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of the finance team at Investigo Limited, this role is pivotal in delivering exceptional financial management and control across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing timely, accurate, and high-quality financial reports, providing critical insights, and supporting a range of stakeholders including the Board.

The role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses the flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs.

Key Tasks:
  • Monthly Management Accounts & Reports: Produce comprehensive management accounts and reports for the business unit, including detailed information for Board presentations.
  • Balance Sheet Management: Oversee the company balance sheet, supporting ledgers, and accounting records. Prepare and maintain a detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliation pack.
  • Year-End Statutory Accounts: Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors to support the statutory audit process.
  • Tax Returns: Prepare VAT and other tax returns ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Reporting Systems Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of reporting systems and outputs.
  • Financial Controls: Maintain the integrity of financial controls by identifying areas for improvement and proposing effective solutions.
  • Forecasting & Business Planning: Support the team with forecasting and business planning activities, providing valuable insights and analysis.
  • Cash Management: Assist in improving working capital and cash management practices.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake various ad hoc projects, including data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Technical Financial Guidance: Offer technical financial advice and insights to business teams as needed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a financial management position.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, balance sheet management, and statutory accounts preparation.
  • Experience with VAT and other tax return preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
