We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Anaesthetist Specialist to join our dynamic team in a rapidly expanding organisation. The successful candidate will provide general and regional anaesthesia for a range of surgical specialties, including orthopaedics, general surgery, and colorectal surgery.

The Department of Orthopaedics is one of the largest arthroplasty units in the United Kingdom, delivering a significant proportion of hip and knee replacements for the NHS in Scotland. As part of a £80m Scottish Government investment, we are expanding orthopaedic and general surgery, doubling our orthopaedic activity and increasing general surgical activity by 160%.

The clinical work will include anaesthetic services in theatre, pre-assessment, and supporting the Acute Pain Service. The applicant will hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for admission to the register within 6 months of the interview date.
