Electrical Building Engineer Role

Abatec Recruitment is proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project, a pioneering nuclear power station in Britain. This project provides zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes.

We are seeking an Electrical Building Engineer to join our client's team based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The main responsibility is to manage change through the project lifecycle, with knowledge of LTQR's, RFI's, FCR's, and TQ's.

The successful candidate will be able to offer a competitive salary with generous uplift and allowances for working away from home where required.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, manage, and motivate the team through implementation of best practice

* Ultimately accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support the MEH Alliance construction activities

* Prioritization and ownership of documentation to enable construction works

* Directly report to the Building Manager or nominated deputy

* Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project

* Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements

Requirements

* Degree Qualification (or Equivalent) in construction or electrical engineering

* Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)

* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH

* Proven experience of safely delivering large-scale construction or engineering projects, including working at a management level of authority

* Experience working on major projects

* Experience and knowledge of Electrical Safe Systems of Work
