Mechanical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance on our mechanical assets, investigating and diagnosing complex faults, and providing technical advice to the wider team.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned maintenance on mechanical assets to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Investigate and diagnose complex faults, and implement repairs to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical advice and support to the wider team, including training and guidance on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Participate in a 24/7 out-of-hours standby rota to provide emergency support and maintenance services.
- A time-served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical systems, with NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical engineering.
- Experience working on large industrial plant equipment, including various pumps within the utility industry.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues, with a valid UK driving license.
- Competitive salary up to £36,800 per annum, with opportunities for overtime and standby rota payments.
- 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
- Contributory pension scheme, with a maximum employee contribution of 12%.
