Applebough Recruitment Ltd is currently recruiting for a Dedicated Education Assistant for Children with Special Needs to join their team in an Ofsted Good primary school in Sandwell.

Job Overview:

  • This role requires a dedicated education assistant to provide support to children with special educational needs.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in an SEN capacity within UK schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist children with various needs, including ADHD, Autism, ASD, learning difficulties, and challenging behavior.
  2. Collaborate with classroom teachers and SEN coordinators to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods as needed.
  3. Foster a nurturing and positive learning environment to enhance students' social, emotional, and educational development.
  4. Monitor and report on student progress, addressing any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  1. At least 1 year of experience working in an SEN role within UK schools.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Qualifications in teaching assistance or child support are desirable but not mandatory.

Salary: Estimated £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
