A Senior Chef role at Sodexo in Wythenshawe Hospital requires a passion for food and culinary expertise.
Working under the guidance of the head chef, you will be responsible for managing a section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
You will have a key role in menu planning, recipe development, and training junior chefs and kitchen staff.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and specifications.
- Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized, maintaining high levels of hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a chef.
- Excellent culinary skills and a passion for cooking.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
