Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at CLH Benchmark in the Kent area. As a key member of our Highways and River contracts team, you will be responsible for undertaking day-to-day setting out duties with minimal supervision.

You will have the opportunity to train, manage, and mentor junior engineers, as well as manage and monitor site sample/performance testing requirements. Your strong organizational skills will enable you to maintain records in line with contract specifications.

A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, allowing them to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors. You will also be responsible for ensuring all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including life assurance cover, a company car or car allowance, and a company pension scheme (we match up to 8%).

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience working on infrastructure projects, including highways and roads
  • Capability of working with Leica/Geomax equipment and transferring information from AutoCAD
  • Good leadership skills and understanding of construction practices
  • Full UK driving license
