Cloud Engineering Lead

Zenzero is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Lead to join our Data & Development Services capability. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing solutions for our customers using the Azure platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Azure infrastructure, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure meets performance, security, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Migrate clients' existing on-premises infrastructure services to Azure.
  • Build and maintain our internal Azure sandbox tenant to enable proofs of concept and hosting of our industry accelerators and demonstrators.
  • Provide Azure technical expertise and guidance to our data engineers and 365 engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new features within Azure and the wider platform engineering discipline.

Typical Cloud Engineering Tasks:

  • Instantiate Azure services, focusing on data (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning).
  • Design network architecture for clients' Azure tenants.
  • Configure and administer Service Principals, users, and groups.
  • Create VNets and Private Endpoints.
  • Set up performance monitoring and troubleshoot issues.
  • Create subscriptions with appropriate cost-control measures in place.
  • Design and build CI/CD pipelines and version control.
  • Build and maintain our internal tooling and processes.
