Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage the review, drafting, and negotiation of RFPs and procurement contracts with third parties and subcontractors for clients in the public sector.
  • Serve as subject matter expert during the tender stage of agreements involving public sector buyers ensuring compliance with application rules, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide practical and concise legal counsel to internal business teams as queries arise throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public sector procurement laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure procurement processes and contracts are current and compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the UK and eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling public sector procurement, including the management of RFPs, either gained in-house or within the public sector/government sector.
  • In-depth understanding of public procurement laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and practical legal advice to diverse stakeholders.
