Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 2 students
  • Implement appropriate teaching strategies to engage and inspire students
  • Acknowledge and address student progress, providing regular feedback and setting targets for improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behaviour and positive relationships
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching Year 2 students in a primary school setting
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
