Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain electromagnetic compatibility specifications and test plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop electromagnetic compatible systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure electromagnetic compatibility of third-party components.
  • Conduct electromagnetic compatibility testing and analysis to identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers on electromagnetic compatibility principles and practices.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional registration at Chartered level or evidence of working towards this.
  • Experience of design for EMC compliance.
  • Knowledge of EMC Defence Standards would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience and ability to coach others in a team.
