Financial Crime Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Crime Risk and Controls Associate to join our team at NatWest. As a Senior Financial Crime Risk and Controls Associate, you will play a critical role in defining and maintaining relevant risk policy and appetite, supporting your specialist area on legislation.
- You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating the risk of NatWest being involved in financial crimes such as Tax Evasion, Bribery Corruption, Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Fraud, Sanctions, and other related offenses.
- You will engage with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of an effective policy framework, ensuring full understanding and awareness of relevant upstream risk and regulatory changes.
- You will identify and analyse material upstream risks, drafting briefing papers following industry enforcement actions or CEO letters, highlighting and tracking key impacts to NatWest.
The Skills You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Proven expertise in financial crime knowledge, technical skills, and experience, with a focus on Anti-Tax Evasion (ATE), Anti-Bribery Corruption (ABC), Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Fraud, and Sanctions.
- Commercial awareness, industry knowledge, and a deep understanding of risk management principles.
- The ability to convey complex concepts, risks, and issues in a clear and concise manner.
