Job Description: Conservation Consultant Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced conservation consultant to join our team at RammSanderson Ecology Ltd. As a Conservation Consultant Expert, you will be responsible for managing teams, delivering projects, and developing networks to promote the services of the wider business.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a determined and ambitious individual to work closely with clients and stakeholders to provide technical advice, leading recruitment, appraisal, and review processes, and communicating effectively with the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage teams, giving guidance and feedback, and ensuring team health and wellbeing
  • Deliver projects within time and budget
  • Develop networks and promote the services of the wider business
  • Collate and give feedback constructively
  • Support team growth, development, wellbeing, and resilience through line management and leadership
Requirements
  • Extensive ecological consultancy background
  • Full membership of CIEEM (Chartered Ecologist preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of UK and EU environmental legislation and national planning policies
  • Experience reviewing technical reports and promoting team professional development
  • Up-to-date understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain, Biodiversity Impact Assessment, and DEFRA metric calculators
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, 25 days' annual leave, and professional development opportunities.
