About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Milling Operations Specialist to join our team at ADM. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of wheat-based products while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the mill, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the correct standard and in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor and control the operation of the milling plant, including the intake of wheat, processing, and transfer of finished products.
- Ensure that all employees and contractors working on site adhere to health and safety and food safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Head Miller and technical teams to optimize plant equipment and systems for maximum efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and databases related to operational matters and process control systems.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
- Intermediate Flour Milling certificate from UK Flour Millers/Nabim, with a strong commitment to advancing to the advanced certificate.
- Proven experience working on shift in a flour mill, with a strong understanding of PLC programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with common Microsoft applications and a strong understanding of mechanical aptitude.
