About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Principal Building Control Surveyor to join their team on a temporary basis. As a key member of the Building Control team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the Council's obligations under the Building Act and associated legislation are administered and enforced.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Building Control function, ensuring compliance with health and safety, welfare, and convenience regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, plan checking, and enforcement actions as required.
- Deputise for the Team Leader and provide support to other team members.
Requirements
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Registered Building Inspector with relevant professional membership.
- Prior experience in Building Control is essential.
- Ability to provide own vehicle for work purposes.
What We Offer
This is a temporary opportunity, paying up to £350 per day. The Council is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from diverse candidates.
