Welder Fabricator Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team at Tarmac, a leading sustainable building materials and construction solutions business.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking plant welding, repairs, and improvements to ensure maximum reliability of all plant-associated areas across the quarrying production. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Welding and fabrication of heavy materials, including steel and alloys
- Responding to plant breakdowns, repairing equipment, and maintaining safety and quality standards
- Improving plant performance, maintaining safety, and adhering to maintenance plans
- Contributing to the development of the Computer Maintenance Management System
- Maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines for safe and efficient maintenance
- Utilizing jigs and fixtures, hand tools, and other equipment
- Essential: experienced in welding and fabrication
- Desirable: Level 3 Apprentice trained or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of engineering maintenance principles and practices
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
