Mundipharma is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join their team in Cambridge, UK. As a key member of the organization, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of automation and business IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical control systems, PLCs, and HMIs, with experience working on serialization tracking and vision systems.

About the Role:
This permanent position offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work in an office-based environment, with occasional time spent at suppliers and on plant. They will also be required to participate in an on-call shift pattern to provide critical business support during off-peak hours.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plant automation and business IT systems
- Ensure all automation maintenance activities are completed on time
- Take responsibility for automation activities related to capital projects
- Continuously improve automated systems and investigate innovative technologies to enhance business automation
- Engage with suppliers and stay informed of technology advances
- Develop solutions to address reliability issues in automation systems
- Implement identified changes, replacements, and improvements in line with business requirements

Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a technically focused subject
- Member of an engineering body working towards chartership
- Proven experience leading automation/IT projects and maintenance
- Strong experience with electrical control systems, PLCs, and HMIs
- Knowledge of EHS and GAMP

Working Conditions:
