Role Overview:
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geophysicist to join our expanding team in Reading or Bristol, with opportunities to work on a range of projects across Southern England.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for British archaeology and legislation to take on a key role in our Archaeology and Heritage Team, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical documents.
About the Role:
">The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and overseeing magnetometry surveys, developing Written Schemes of Investigation, liaising with team members and clients, and collecting and processing high-quality data.
As a member of our Geophysical Survey Team, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in various areas, including historic environment consultancy advice and delivery of technical documents.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Developing comprehensive Written Schemes of Investigation
- Liaising with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
- Conducting and overseeing magnetometry surveys in Southern England
- Collecting and processing high-quality data using software like TerraSurvey
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition
- Preparing comprehensive reports detailing survey results and recommendations
- Archiving project data for future reference">
Requirements:
">We are looking for a highly motivated individual with sound multi-period knowledge of British archaeology and legislation, planning policy, and guidance relevant to geophysical surveys. The ideal candidate will have some professional experience in magnetometry surveys, proficiency in software like TerraSurvey, and a proven ability to interpret geophysical data and write reports.
A full, clean UK driving license is essential, and membership (or working towards membership) of CIfA at Associate level is desirable.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Location: Reading or Bristol, with opportunities to work on projects across Southern England
