About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Business and Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and module delivery, assessment and feedback, student support and guidance, curriculum development, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Module Delivery:
    • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate modules and programmes, ensuring course content is relevant, current, and aligned with contemporary industry practice and research insight.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of subject areas and utilise a range of best-practice teaching methods to support various learning styles, fostering engagement and inclusivity.
  • Assessment and Feedback:
    • Design, manage, and assess formative and summative coursework assignments, ensuring flexibility, fairness, transparency, and relevance.
    • Provide timely, constructive, and coherent feedback to students, using written, recorded, or verbal media.
  • Student Support and Guidance:
    • Act as an academic advisor and mentor to students, providing guidance on academic matters and supporting their professional aspirations.
    • Organise and participate in student engagement activities and additional learning and academic integrity support sessions.
  • Curriculum and Module Development:
    • Work collaboratively with faculty, management, students, and external stakeholders to develop, modify, and enhance curricula, considering the needs of diverse learners.
    • Participate in all Academic Development Committees, contributing to the development of new and revised programmes.
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:
    • Ensure adherence to all VCAD policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Engage in peer review processes to improve and share good practices across teaching methods, enhancing the overall student experience.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business and Management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to students and colleagues alike.
  • Proficiency in utilising digital platforms, particularly Microsoft Office/365, to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Enthusiasm, knowledge, and experience in Business and Management, with a desire to contribute to the growth and development of our students.
  • A Master's Degree or significant professional experience in Business and Management is desirable, but not essential.
Location

London (Canary Wharf and/or Borough)

Salary

Lecturer: £39,000 - £44,000 per annum, depending on experience; Senior Lecturer: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
