Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Environmental and Operational Services team at Stratford-on-Avon District Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a small team of Environmental and Operational Services Officers to deliver high-quality community and neighbourhood services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Environmental and Operational Services team, ensuring the delivery of contracted services to residents, businesses, and visitors.
  • Lead on procurement activities, including the management of contracts for waste collection, street cleansing, and grounds maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve customer satisfaction and public engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental and Operational Services Manager to ensure the delivery of excellent, customer-focused services that meet the needs of the public.
  • Prepare and present formal reports and presentations to stakeholders, including the Council's leadership team and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in team leadership and management, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services.
  • Experience in contract management, procurement, and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
