Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to lead our Immunohistochemistry (IHC) section at Cellular Pathology Services Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IHC and a passion for innovation and quality in laboratory services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the IHC section to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Biomedical Scientists and Associate Practitioners in IHC-related processes.
  • Troubleshoot IHC testing and validate new and existing antibodies.
  • Develop and implement new techniques, processes, and technologies related to IHC.
  • Participate actively in quality management activities, including audits, data analysis, and service quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain equipment according to protocols.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant post HCPC registration experience in Histopathology.
  • Extensive IHC experience, using different platforms.
  • Experience of validation and verification of new antibodies.
  • Experience of training others.
  • Experience of leading a section/team.
